About

“The right to adequate food is realized when every man, woman and child, alone or in community with others, has the physical and economic access at all times to adequate food or means for its procurement.” – General Comment 12 (UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights).

While food is the most basic of shared goods provided to all living beings by Mother Nature herself, a large proportion of humanity is deprived of their right to food. According to United Nations World Food Programme, As many as 828 million people go to bed hungry every night. Unbelievable that this is happening in the 21st century! But the hunger catastrophe is only going to get worse as the world population explodes in the coming decades. Recognizing that each one of us have to step up and take action in our own ways to achieve the global goal of zero hunger by 2030, I founded Equities 4 Equity.

Equities 4 Equity is a social enterprise that not only advocates for food equity, but also takes initiatives that help achieve the UN sustainable development goal 2 – “End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture”.

Our mission is to advance food equity by raising awareness about the food crisis, as well as donating nutritious and culturally appropriate food to those who are living on the brink of starvation and malnutrition. We organize food donation drives around the world, without any regional bias, and cultural or religious discrimination. We are working towards building a coalition of like-minded individuals, who can get involved with our organization in different ways. If you share the same passions as us, or wish to contribute to our initiatives, please get in touch with us.
